A little bit about Novette

For me becoming more healthy was not the primary reason for starting my fitness journey. Going to the gym allowed me to feel better so I can do better. It allowed me to gain control when I had none. There are so many things I can’t control in life.

What happens at work…What happens in my personal life…How people react to me…What people think of me…

This all affects how I feel about myself and at the end of the day. What I say to myself is what determines whether I think I am a good person or a bad person. There were points in my life that made me feel like there was no better future. What is the point of moving forward when there is no light at the end of the tunnel.

That feeling of having no grasp as to how my life is going to turn out…That feeling of incompetence…That feeling of staying STUCK!

It wasn’t easy having to carry that type of mental baggage around 24/7 at the same time not wanting others to know because I don’t want to feel like a burden. Imagine that…Imagine having to feel that daily.

On top that! I ignore, put aside and deny that this is my reality so what did I do? I drown these sorrows away by…

Indulging in entertainment…Watching tons of Netflix…Binging on food…Drinking…

Seeking self pleasure and YES, drowning myself with WORK and being BUSY is also an excuse. If all this is true for you as it was for me then ask yourself “Are you happy with how you feel about yourself when no-one is around, when you are by yourself at the end of the day? For me the answer was NO.

This became my driving force to start gaining control. The first thing and arguably the only thing that we can control is our own health. I started working out consistently, researching and educating myself on nutrition, healthy habits, macros, supplements, sleep/recovery. Learning how hormones play a giant part in my fitness journey. Perfecting my form and technique with weight training. Took tons of courses and I even hired my own coach. I competed in multiple bodybuilding shows. I participated in endurance events such as tough mudder which is a long track with obstacles in between.

A lot of work has been put into this, the journey is still on going and it is not an easy path. At first I thought I could do it alone and without help who knows where I could’ve ended up. There were so many challenges that came my way. To be effective with my work I needed further education so I got my Personal Training Certification, Nutrition Certification & Human Behavioural Certification.

I chose this line of work, to help, educate and show you the path so you don’t have to go through the same trials and errors I went through. It doesn’t have to take long, I already know the path and have laid the groundwork. You just have to step in, do the work and believe in yourself.

A little bit about Michelle

With over 6 years of experience, Michelle has coached 100's of women of different ages and backgrounds. Michelle first started her career in a commercial gym by sharing her passion for fitness with other women and wanting to help them on their journey.

Through her fitness journey, Michelle had tried it all. From HIIT workouts, to “Low Carb” or “Low Fat” diets, none of them truly worked in getting her to her goal. It wasn’t until she looked at her personal experiences, as well as the experiences of past clients, that Michelle was able to find that working on developing long-lasting habits was the solution to being able to reach their fitness goals and keep the results. 

As Novette and Michelle began to run their business together, Nori Athletics, the stress resulted in Michelle falling out of routine because she wasn’t able to keep up the lifestyle she previously had, which resulted in her gaining weight, and becoming really uncomfortable and self-conscious. It was after that, that it only became more apparent to Michelle that developing habits in exercise and nutrition would be the only sufficient answer to being able to reach her goal and maintain their physique. As Michelle realized that, she adapted that to her coaching with clients. 

Michelle understands the pain of not being able to feel confident in one’s skin, sacrificing her time for others too often, and feeling very tired most of the time from the lack of having a proper routine. Now she wants to ensure that the women who cross her life don’t have to experience that. Today, Michelle helps busy women who are go-getters, whether they’re moms or business owners, develop the right habits around nutrition and exercise to get them to the physique and routine that makes them feel best in their body and the most confident. 

With over 6 years of experience, Michelle has NASM CPT certification, Girls Gone Strong Women’s Specialization, and Girls Gone Strong Pre/Post-Natal Certification.

I had Novette as a personal trainer for about well over a year. In terms of results, I've made the biggest improvements training with Novette. Because of his attention to detail, certain flaws in my foams were adjusted in order to execute exercises safely and effectively. Initially, because I have a desk job, I just wanted to become fit in general. With Novette’s help, my speed, agility, strength, and overall performance have dramatically increased. My body composition is definitely different from where I started, I gained more muscle mass in place of some fat. I have become more active which led me to taking up martial arts again. With a new goal, Novette continued to assist me improving my performance to compliment my martial arts training, such as agility and vertical height. He would push me to a point that wasn’t achievable before, but only within limits to avoid injury. My initial goals have been fully met and gone further beyond what I thought I can do. The workouts are always different, and always keeping me guessing. Any concerns or fitness type questions, he's always open to answer in great detail. I don’t regret training with Novette, I would definitely recommend.


Been working with Michelle since 2018 then I stopped for a year and got back into the program recently. She helped me train different muscle groups. My motivation for training or exercising is mainly for mental health and to ground myself from a stressful work life. She helped me gain that back during a low point in my life. I truly appreciated working with her and every session almost felt like therapy. I didn’t always follow through but she never pushed me in a way that I was uncomfortable. She ensures I have the proper form and reminds me of what I need to work on when doing certain exercises. ....I've had my fare share of trainers, diets, meal plans, workout programs...they've all helped in some way but never at the same time....Months before I decided to invest in myself wholeheartedly I was in a deep slump.  The gym was no longer fun or motivating, it was a chore.  My strenuous long hours at work collided with any type of schedule I tried to create on my own.  Michelle has helped me accomplish many hurdles I faced in regards to my health and fitness goals.  She developed a program specifically for me and what my goals are.  The most important attribute that I have gotten from her program is SELF ACCOUNTABILITY and SELF AWARENESS.  She provides me with information, guidance and support that keep me driven and motivated. Training with Novette has been an amazing experience. From coming out of a dysfunctional relationship in 2018, to feeling lost and without an identity for many months afterwards, I was unsure how to recover.I needed to focus my attention elsewhere, so I began the basics with learning different levels of fitness, ranging from weight training, HIIT, and proper nutrition. Although, non of it seemed to make sense,  and I was still feeling lost and unmotivated from the heartbreak.However, I was referred to Nori Athletics in January of 2019, and after almost one year of uncertainty, I stepped out of my comfort zone and attended my first ever bootcamp. Afterwards, within minutes following the HIIT workout, I was hooked and have never missed a bootcamp since.I enjoyed looking forward to going every week, as it gave me a sense of purpose to reward my success, by being able to put my fitness to the test. The high knees, burpees, jump squats, bear crawls, sled pushes, resistance training, planks, squat holds, and various other workouts had me screaming in pain, but also had me smiling every Sunday morning. Once I got to know both Michelle and Novette better, they told me about there Fitness Program and how they could help me get in the best shape I had ever been in.It wasn’t easy to accept it right away, as I had never done anything like this before, but after seeing how much effort they put into their bootcamps, along with their knowledge and the success of there current clients, I knew trusting them would be the right decision.Fast forward to summer of 2019, and I had never felt more fit, not only was I the lightest weight I had been in a decade, but I was stronger and down to my goal of ten percent body fat, all while maintaining my muscle for the summer season.  To be more specific, I was able to deadlift 315 pounds, and also bench 190 pounds, all while going from 170 pounds to 154 pounds and finally losing that last bit of belly fat in five months.  However, it was never just about the fitness, the bigger picture is that it’s a lifestyle. Not only was I given the hardest yet results oriented workout plan, but I was also given certain routines that lead to me feeling a sense of purpose and identity, which was something I didn’t have for almost two years.I learned to hold myself accountable, and noticed that developing the right habits lead to me being more productive in my classes and other areas of my life.Altogether, with the guidance of Nori Athletics, both Michelle and Novette helped me transform much more than my body, but more importantly, I got my life back.

About two and a half years ago, I decided to go to the gym because I wanted to change my body a bit and I wanted to be strong. So, I met a mysterious person in the gym. That person was my fitness instructor, Novette. He taught me how to eat healthy and he set up a very comprehensive fitness program. Since I had never been exposed to fitness, he had the patience to teach me every movement, which greatly reduced the chance of injury. After more than two years of exercise, my body went through a big change. I am indeed stronger than before, and my muscle mass has increased a lot. I am very happy because I have reached my goal. In terms of athletic performance, since I am playing football, my physical confrontation has improved a lot and there has been a lot of progress in speed. I’ve known Michelle for a little over 3 years now. Within this time she has helped me create so many new connections within my body that I never would have fathomed possible. I’m really happy with my Nori Athletics journey thus far, because I have leaned out quite a bit, gone down from a size 11 to a size 5, and a medium-large to exclusively smalls or extra smalls.  I’ve gained more confidence and feel more at home in my body. I thought I knew how to do a workout and what to eat.  I was sporadic with going to the gym and once I got there, I didn’t know what exercises to do.  Michelle guided me with workouts, form, and diet.  She gave me many tips which has led me to improve my habits. Shyan here... well where do I start ! 

I first met Michelle at their boot camp they host on Sunday's through a friend referral ! I had really no intention of signing on because I have had pretty bad/ medium experiences with personal trainers whether they are just lazy or on the opposite end way too intense ! 

Michelle’s vibe was honestly so comforting and a breathe of fresh air ! She doesn’t care about the sale, she honestly just wants to help you whether that means getting stronger or leaning out or just overall learning about fitness and developing a maintainable lifestyle ! 

I signed up with Michelle for a small trail just to test it out and I absolutely loved the program ! I love the community, I love how I can reach out with any questions and I love how flexible and understanding they are ! Not to say they won’t crack the whip when need be ;)

I have been with Michelle since December 2019. It started with an 8-week challenge and honestly I can say by week 2 I was hooked! I use to go to the gym a lot in my early 20s; then you know the usual stuff happens, you start school/career start and become less and less consistent. I finally said enough is enough I need to make myself a priority again.

So when I saw the opportunity for an 8 week challenge to get my fitness back I thought to myself.. What is there to lose? The progress I saw week after week in the challenge was so rewarding and I could feel my body getting stronger again. I started to feel like myself again. Who can sign-up for our fitness & nutrition coaching program?

Both men and women 18 years and older can sign-up and complete this program.

Do I need any prior experience?

No, you do not need any prior experience, you will receive the guidance required as well as resources to help you continue your fitness journey.

What does the program help me achieve?

Nori Athletics Fitness & Nutrition program helps you kickstart your fitness journey by giving you a workout plan customized to you and your goals with a matching nutrition plan. Depending on your personal goals, we will custom tailor the program to you, to help you achieve your goals in a healthy and most importantly lasting way.

How long will I have to complete this program?

We have many different program options that can be used help you achieve your goals. During your FREE Meet & Greet call with one of our coaches, we will help you determine the right program length for you.

What if I have questions throughout the program?

During your program you can reach out to your direct trainer to help answer any questions or concerns you may have.

What if I want a refund?

If you have paid in full a refund will only be available for a  maximum of 7 days after purchase AND  if you have not begun the program yet.

How challenging is the commitment?

All workouts can be completed in a handful of 30 mins workouts per day, the workout plan can be viewed through our custom app that lists of workouts as well as provides videos for you to be able to see HOW to complete the workout.
